Top 10 Foundations

(It’s actually nine because I only have nine favourites! lol)

Too Faced Born This Way

Too Faced Born This Way | Sarah Fritz Makeup

First of all, my all time favourite foundation, the amazing ‘Born This Way’! There are many reasons why I love this foundation so much. It is incredibly lightweight yet still has an amazing coverage. It is a buildable foundation so it’s great if I want a light coverage or full! It has the perfect amount of luminosity, meaning it’s not too matte so you look fake, and it’s not too luminous so you look oily.

I love how it looks like actual skin, and how it looks so perfect at the same time. It lasts for a good amount of time and makes you look airbrushed yet still looks natural. I would recommend this for oily and dry skin, since it’s not too drying or moisturising.

Makeup Forever Ultra HD (liquid)

Makeup Forever Ultra HD Liquid | Sarah Fritz Makeup

My second all time favourite foundation is the Makeup Forever Ultra HD! I love this because this foundation is actually made to look good in photos and give you that airbrushed effect, and that’s exactly what it does! It comes in many different shades for every single skin tone. It has a medium to full coverage yet it is still very buildable.

I like buildable foundations because I can wear them for any occasion without buying another foundation that has a fuller coverage than the other. I recommend this for both oily and dry skin because it doesn’t cling onto dry patches and it also doesn’t make you oily.

Kryolan TV Paint Stick

Kryolan TV Paint Stick | Sarah Fritz Makeup

This foundation is one of my favourites for many reasons. Although it has ‘paint’ in the name, it looks beautiful on the skin and not cakey at all. Foundation sticks do have a fuller coverage than liquid foundations since they are in a thick and creamy form, so this is amazing for people with redness and scarring. It is very blendable although not very buildable.

I do not recommend this for people with extremely textured skin/acne since it is a cream form, it won’t cover the acne it will just cover everything around it. It lasts for a long time and has a natural glowing finish.

Esteé Lauder Double Wear

Esteé Lauder Double Wear | Sarah Fritz Makeup

If you want the fullest coverage foundation in the whole entire world, this is the foundation for you! This foundation, by far, is the thickest and fullest coverage foundation I’ve ever tried. It will cover any pimple and scar you have on your face. Although it is extremely thick, it still feels lightweight and it’s very comfortable to wear. It dries completely matte but doesn’t cling to dry patches which is UH-MAZ-ING!

It makes your skin look super airbrushed and doll-like, which is great for scars and acne prone skin. The biggest down side to this foundation is it has extreme flashback, meaning when you take flash photography your skin looks as pale as a ghost. But other than that, this is definitely one of my favs and I will love it forever!

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless | Sarah Fritz Makeup

Onto a cheaper foundation, the ‘Matte + Poreless’ from Maybelline. I love this foundation because it comes in so many shades and has a great finish. This foundation is great for oily skin, since it is matte and won’t make you oily throughout the day. Although, I don’t recommend this for dry skin at all, because it dries matte it does cling onto dry skin, making it look cakey and uneven. It has a medium coverage and looks really nice on the skin, while still being buildable if you want a fuller coverage.

Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous

Another one of my favourite drugstore foundations is the amazing Covergirl ‘Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1’ foundation! This foundation acts as a primer, a foundation and a concealer as one. I still use primer and concealer with it just because I’m superficial, but considering the primer aspect of the foundation it does stay on for a long time! It has a smooth, flawless finish and has a medium to full coverage. I recommend this foundation for any skin type since it’s so versatile and isn’t drying or oily at all!

Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous

This foundation is very similar to ‘Stay Fabulous’, but this one is a lot more luminous (as it clearly says in the name). I find this foundation incredible because it has great coverage, is extremely luminous as is oil free! It’s non-greasy and it lasts all day. This is great for both oily and dry skin because it is oil free and it’s still great for moisturising and luminosity. Especially for dry skin, it will make you look glowy and beautiful. This foundation makes your skin have a healthy bounce to it, and is super cheap!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid

This foundation has been one of the best on the market for as long as I can remember! I remember my mum using this back when I was little and now it still doesn’t disappoint! It has a great coverage and lasts for a very long time. MAC’s colour range is INCREDIBLE, and they cater for every skin tone. It has a natural matte finish, controls oil and doesn’t cling to dry skin. It minimises the appearance of pores and makes your skin looks healthy and smooth.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless | Sarah Fritz Makeup

This foundation has a lot of controversy but I personally love it. For my skin type (combination to dry) it makes my skin more matte rather than luminous, but it does last all day as it states in the name. It has a really nice light-medium coverage yet it is still buildable. TBH, the packaging is probably my favourite part because number one, it’s glass, number two, it’s sleek and best of all, IT HAS A PUMP! I recommend this for normal to dry skin types.
